We were planned for 3 weeks to execute this trip and at last the time has come on a friday afternoon, where we were getting to ready with all our gadgets to "GET SET GO TARGET".
We went with our great stylish wind piercing car, a white "Nissan Tida". The day was so hot and we didnt know the exact way to the destination. We saw the Google Earth and found the place. We started with that confidence and asusual we missed the way and got lost into a desert. We were all going with great enthusiasm, songs playing inside the car and we were taking pictures of what ever came in our way. Suddenly we found some camels and we stopped the car and took a snap of it, then we were all so hungry. So we stopped at a place and had lunch under a tree shade, underline the word "tree" because its so difficult to find a tree in that long desert. It was an awesome feeling, in my child hood i have watched movies like this, were in a group of people go for a long trip during their vacation with a small map and i was wondering those days and when it came true for me, it was so surprising and awesome to believe.
It was like taking a hollywood movie... :D lols.. serious . Long drive, no men, no cars, it was like a no man's area in short to say, everywhere full of sand.Atlast we reached the destination some how. A qatari police man showed us the exact route and we reached the fort with a shock to see a v.small fort. I was imagining to be a big one like back home in india. But, though a small one, it was good old enough and build during the king's age. It was festival time, during bakrid and so many people had come to visit. So many Chicks ofcourse :) ...
It was a good visual treat for the eyes in the hot sun..:) I could see all kind of cars over there. People were taking numerous pictures and having fun out. And our Gang to took enormous snaps and after an hour we started back and on the way we reached a beach and by the time we reached home it was night and altogether it was an excellent long drive for 400 kms to and fro ... After the drive we made printouts of our pictures and stuck in our office board, and my Arab Manager was wondering after seeing that. He was wondering because, in his 10 years stay in Qatar, he himself has never been to that far distance place. :).. See how our gang rocks ....
I should definetly appreciate my friend Faruk, who drove all the way through out the journey with great driving skills.. And hats off to all our gang members, we rocked the day and it was an amazing drive and this will remain to be a great memory in my life :)
